Timisoara Startups Demo Day - the place where the entrepreneurial ecosystem gathers together

The month of December united the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem in one place, at Timisoara Startups Demo Day, on December 9, at Cowork Timisoara - The Office.

Timisoara Startups is a platform that aims to map the local ecosystem, to show the whole range of local startups in the city, who are the people that contribute to the development of this ecosystem, local investors, and specialists. The initiative was born in 2014, and now in 2022, it supports startups, offering entrepreneurial programs such as Innovation Labs or Startup Weekend.

Timisoara Startups Demo Day was more than just a networking event: the goal was to put local entrepreneurs in the spotlight. Rayscape, Aqurate, MediNav, Helperz, AIMINDED, Savables, VBoard, Heymedica, and Virtual Config are the startups that presented their projects to a jury that was able to support us on this important day: Ciprian Man, Co-Founder Growceanu, Cristian Patachia, Development & Innovation Manager at Orange and Marius Pantea, the advisor of the General Director of ADR West.

Our mission was to challenge some of the best local startups to pitch and they did a great job! We are so proud that they have evolved a lot and we want to congratulate them! Also, we praise the winners of Timisoara Startups Demo Day: Rayscape for Startup of the year, Savables, for New entry of the year, Helperz for the Challenger of the year, and Aqurate for People’s award.

This event focused on entrepreneurship and professional development and was a great opportunity for startups to expand their network. Important stakeholders of the ecosystem were also present, therefore it was a good chance to meet potential customers and business partners.

During the event, Ciprian Man, Co-Founder of Growceanu, made a retrospective of 2022; he talked about how Growceanu actively supported the local startup community this year. Also, we have great news because, at the beginning of 2023, a new program for the local entrepreneurial ecosystem will be launched: MeltStartups.

We are grateful that we had the support of our partners: InnovXBCR, which for 4 years has supported the tech entrepreneurial community in Romania, Orange which helps entrepreneurs in developing tech initiatives through the Orange Fab program, as well as Amazon Development Center Romania which focuses on developing new technologies, using artificial intelligence and machine learning, within Ring security devices.
